  10.                      Many improvements on older Versions.

  13.            The following Improvements/Expansion have been made on the
  14.                       previous Sigi Painter Version 0.5.

  17.   1.) Significant improvements to the Error routine. Fewer crashes!
  18.  
  19.   2.) A Fastloader has been built in, Pictures now load much quicker.
  20.  
  21.   3.) In addition to its own Block format, the Program can now load in
  22.       and use Blocks taken from other Art programs.
  23.  
  24.   4.) The Load routine for Pictures has been completely Re-worked.
  25.       It can now handle still more foreign formats from different
  26.       Art programs.

  28.   5.) Some faults in Sigi Painter V0.5 have been improved.

  30.   6.) In addition various small improvements have been carried out in
  31.       all three screen resolutions.

  35.            The following Improvements/Expansion have been made on the
  36.                       previous Sigi Painter Version 0.6.

  39.   1.) The Menu-line error in Sigi Painer V 0.5 has been removed.
  40.  
  41.   2.) Keyclick has been switched off.
  42.  
  43.   3.) A new function effect has been built in to deal with vertical
  44.       and diagonal Line drawing. (Only works on a Monochrome Monitor)
  45.  
  46.   4.) There is a new setting for Keyboard Repeat, much easier to work
  47.       with than the previous one.

  49.   5.) The Key Repeat has been switched off.
  50.  
  51.   The Program now works in all three  Resolutions, in Colour as well as Black
  52.   and White. And will operate on a  basic  Atari 520ST with SM124 Monitor and
  53.   Floppy drive. It was written in GFA-Basic.

  55.   A Printer Driver is  integrated  in  the  program  to  allow you to produce
  56.   Harcopies with an Epson compatible Printer.  Providing  it can print 960 or
  57.   1280 Pixels per Line. It has been tested on a Seikosha SP 1000 A Printer.

  59.   There is also a special Printer  routine  provided which will check whether
  60.   or not the printer is connected and switched on.  This removes the annoying
  61.   30 seconds wait normally associated with GEM.

  63.   Selecting Menu items is done with  the  Mouse.   Move the Mouse to the Menu
  64.   Bar and choose the  desired  function.  Press  the  left  mouse button, the
  65.   selected function will now be activated.   For  example, drawing can now be
  66.   done by pressing and holding the  left  button  while moving the mouse.  To
  67.   exit any function you should simply press the right button.

  70.   The settings for the Fill  Pattern,  Line  Width,  Line Density, Scroll and
  71.   nearly all Functions from the  Settings  Menu  can  be easily and instantly
  72.   accessed. For example: In selecting the  Line Width function press the left
  73.   mouse button.  Pressing  the  left  button  again  will  increase  the Line
  74.   thickness.  When you are satisfied with it, press the right button to leave
  75.   the function.  Now you can again select from the Menu.

  81.   Info Menu

  83.   Copyright    : Shows the Copyright notice.

  85.   Disk Menu
  86.   ---------
  87.   Load Picture : With this Function you can   quickly  load pictures from all
  88.                  the  common   Formats.   E.g.   Degas,   Doodle,  Neochrome,
  89.                  Andromeda,  Columbia  Pictures  etc.  from  Disk.  It   will
  90.                  automatically  take  into account  the  screen resolution of
  91.                  the chosen picture.

  93.   Save Picture : This Function allows  you  to  Save  pictures  to  Disk. See
  94.                  function 'Load Picture'.
  95.  
  96.   Load Block   : Lets you load  in  Blocks(Objects)  in  all  the  common Art
  97.                  program formats. Only works in Monochrome.

  99.   Delete File  : With this function  you can remove unwanted files from Disk.
  100.                  WARNING: Deleted Pictures and Files are lost forever.

  102.   Create Folder: Allows you to create a new Folder on Disk.

  104.   Directory    : This function allows you to produce  and view a Directory of
  105.                  the active disk drive.
  106.  
  107.   Free Space   : This will show you  the  free  space  still available on the
  108.                  Disk. This lets you judge how many pictures you can store on
  109.                  this particular disk. In addition, it will report the amount
  110.                  of free memory in the computer.

  112.   End          : Terminate the Program and exit back to the DeskTop.
  113.                  Before leaving, you should remember to Save your pictures!

  116.   Operation
  117.   ---------
  118.   Draw         : With this Function you can draw freehand.
  119.                  Adjustment possibilities  on  the  Settings  Menu  are: Draw
  120.                  Fill,  Line Type, Line Density, Line Star/End.

  122.                  Comment - In all  Draw-functions,  should you draw something
  123.                  incorrectly then you cam remove  it  by selecting the 'UNDO'
  124.                  function from the EXTRA Menu.

  126.   Point        : Sets single Pixels.  For  adjustment  possibilities see  the
  127.                  Settings Menu.
  128.  
  129.   Line         : For drawing straight  lines.   For  adjustment possibilities
  130.                  see the Settings Menu.

  132.   G-Rays       : Try it  and  see!   For  adjustment  possibilities  see  the
  133.                  Settings Menu.

  135.   I-Line       : Draws a thick line.   For  adjustment  possibilities see the
  136.                  Settings Menu. Can be  filled  out  with  a  Fill Pattern by
  137.                  setting the function FILL on the Settings Menu On or Off.

  140.   Square       : Draws a Square. For adjustment  possibilities see I-Line and
  141.                  the Settings Menu Functions Tilt etc.

  143.   Rectangle    : Draws a Rectangle.  See Function Square.

  145.   Circle       : Draws a Circle. See Function Rectangle.

  147.   Ellipse      : Draws an Ellipse.  See Function Circle.

  149.   Fill         : Fills out the chosen area with a Pattern.
  150.                  WARNING - Make sure the Fill  area is fully enclosed or else
  151.                  the color/pattern will 'leak'!   As  above  you  may use the
  152.                  UNDO function to reverse the Fill and try again.

  156.   Extra Menu
  157.   ----------
  158.   X-Circle     : Try it out for yourself.

  160.   X-Ellipse    : Try this one out too!

  162.   M-Circle     : Draws a wavy line. Before using, adjust the M-Circle size.

  164.   Scroll       : Scrolls the picture to right or left.

  166.   4-Mirror     : Choose Mirror direction. Mirror  Horizontal, Mirror vertical
  167.                  etc. This Function only Mirrors the Draw Instruction.

  169.   Q-Mirror     : Diagonal Mirror. Extra 1 + Extra 2 try yourself.

  171.   Mouse        : Draws on the screen using  the  actual  Mouse form as set in
  172.                  the  Settings  Menu  Mouse-Form.   This  does  not  function
  173.                  properly on not on a 1040ST. It  appears to be a TOS problem
  174.                  in the operating system.

  176.   Joke         : Will let you turn  the  picture  upside  down  or invert the
  177.                  colours!

  179.   Text         : Writes Text using a normal Input Routine .

  182.   Undo         : Reverse last Drawing operation.

  226.   You should note that this  Program  is  Public  Domain and therefore freely
  227.   copyable.  This means you may distribute it to anyone you wish.

  229.   A great deal of work has gone  into  this  Program, and it would be nice to
  230.   think  that  anyone  who  uses  it  regularly  would  show  some  financial
  231.   recognition to the Author.  As  thanks  I  will  inform  you about updates,
  232.   modifications, bug fixes and so on.

  234.   If this is too much to ask, then it is unlikely that I would be prepared to
  235.   make any more of my hard work available for distribution through the Public
  236.   Domain.
